Something Beautiful

So yesterday the weather here was strange to say the least. One minute it would be a beautiful blue sky and the next dark clouds over head and rain. But despite the weather there were still beautiful moments yesterday. I love the beginning of spring when the trees just begin to pop and the flowers are blooming. It always makes me stop for a moment and look at the beauty around me when I see those bright colors against a blue sky. What a wonderful, steadfast, and loving God we have! Although my favorite moment had to have been after a sudden downpour when I was leaving the grocery store. There before me was one of the brightest rainbows I had ever seen. What a fantastic reminder of the promise God made to us! Where would we be without that flood or that promise?

Introduction to Me

Here's to my first ever blog entry! I'm Alyssa and although I'm only 18 my life has been full of surprises and experiences that have shaped me into the young woman I am now. Often times I wonder how my day would be if I said something differently or done something a different way. In today's world, sometimes it's hard to get my words out there, especially with how social networking is. I'm in a transitioning period of my life and I couldn't be more excited about it. In the next few months I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts as I graduate high school and get ready to move in at Clemson. God bless and Go Tigers :)
